About Us

Blue Lick Leather was established in 2015 and is based in Louisville, Kentucky USA. We're a father-daughter company, keeping hand-cut and hand-sewn leather traditions alive. Our aim is to craft beautiful leather products that last generations.

All our products are crafted with full grain leather, the top layer featuring the most character. As such, some products include details such as barbwire scars, fat wrinkles, and brands. We believe this adds to the beauty and unique character of each piece.

Sewing leather by hand creates a stronger stitch than machine sewing and adds to the durability of the product. That's why all our creations are hand-sewn. Once assembled, every item is carefully conditioned with a premium all-natural leather conditioner before leaving our shop. This adds to the feel, longevity, and overall quality of the piece. Not to mention it smells great! We also take custom requests and love the challenges that can come along with them.
